Hal Jr’s Bar B Q with mid-Western roots is having its third pop-up today 7:00 til 10:00 pm. at Mission Minis on 22nd St. between Capp and Mission Streets.

Jason Lund, born and raised in St. Louis, explains his method: “slow cooked for 10-12 hours in a real hardwood smoker, using a blend of hardwood oak charcoal, hickory & applewood. It’s a secret KC- style spicy dry rub, with a tomato molasses based sauce served on the side. Sides vary from the traditional such as a white cheddar ,gruyere and fontina mac n cheese , baked beans, infused with my special homemade sauce to the locally inspired and refreshing corn salad.”

Sounds worth a try to us.
