“Which is more dangerous? Riding a bicycle in a sophisticated, modern European capital or serving with the British Army in one of the most dangerous countries in the world?” asked a British newspaper on Monday after six cycling fatalities occurred within two weeks on London streets.
Fourteen cyclists have died this year in London compared to eight soldiers in Afghanistan, reports The New York Times.
Dangers on the road have sparked conversation about banning large trucks from some of London’s roads.
