Katie from Rally.com sent this message on the 1448 Valencia Fire.

Good morning,

This is Katie with Rally.org’s communications team. We’re a digital storytelling and fundraising platform built to foster social change.

I wanted to let you know about a fundraising campaign that was just started by some friends of residents from the apartment building on 1448 Valencia St. in San Francisco.

I know you’ve reported on the first that broke out Monday, and wanted to share that in just a few days, the online fundraising campaign has raised more than $10,050 and has more than 150 supporters. Here’s a link to the cause.

Folks are sharing their thoughts in the Community section of the campaign, including one mom, Susan Jenny, who wrote, “Thank you for setting this up. My daughter lived in the building and is dafe and sound but lost most of her stuff. I am so thankful that no one got hurt!”

Let me know if you’d like any more information on the online campaign.

Thanks,
Katie
