The family of Amanda Guevara is asking for the public’s help in finding the 38-year-old woman, who went missing last week.
Guevara, described as a 5-foot-4-inch Hispanic female weighing 180 pounds, has been missing since she went out for a walk on Wednesday, March 28. She was last seen wearing a purple shirt and white shoes.
The family is offering a $1,000 reward for information that could lead to her whereabouts.
A cousin last saw Guevara, who suffers from depression, on Friday as she was walking along 18th and Mission streets, according to Guevara’s sister Mercedes Cordero. The cousin, who did not know that Guevara had been reported missing, offered her a ride home, but she declined. Previously, another person had reported seeing Guevara near Fisherman’s Wharf.
The family is particularly worried because they suspect that she has not taken her depression medication.
“Walking helps her out a lot [with her depression],” Cordero said. “But she has never done this before.”
Anyone with information is asked to call the family at 415-695-0948 or 415-574-8755.
