Mission Local is hosting its first-ever film festival this spring.

We’re taking submissions from the community. Films need to be either: a) made by someone who lives, works or grew up in the Mission, OR b) about the Mission. Other than that there are no restrictions regarding content. Please keep films short (5 to 15 minutes MAX). All entries must be submitted by March 14; the festival will take place during the second week of April.

An admitted technophile, Jessica Lum navigates the Mission with Google Maps, but has only really come to know the neighborhood by wandering on foot, looking at murals, and occasionally watching the guy on the BART steps play “Stairway to Heaven.”
