If you’ve read the book “Infinite City,” you’ll know that the map of gang territory that accompanies Adriana Camarena’s essay is based on an actual police map that someone from the Gang Task Force gave her.

Does this look about right? I’ve noticed that the longer people have lived in the Mission, the more finely gradated their sense of gang territory is. As in: They’ll avoid certain blocks within a territory because of this or that faction.
