The small literary festival with its roots in the Mission stretching back 17 years will blossom into a cornucopia of food for thought this Sunday, October 9, when Litquake’s Eat, Drink and Be Literary comes to the Chapel.

Every kind of food media character imaginable will be represented, from “gluten-free experts” to “sea foragers” and even a seven-time champion of the Grilled Cheese Invitational. From 11 a.m.  to 5:30 p.m., food thinkers, writers and makers (including a few local ones like Michelle McKenzie from 18 Reasons and Heidi Gibson from the American Grilled Cheese Kitchen) will discuss food culture, trends and sustainability, sign books and mingle with guests.

Samples of wine, beer and vodka as well as, of course, food will be available to guests as well. A star lineup of moderators and guests includes writers from the San Francisco Chronicle and Sunset Magazine.

Tickets can be found here, and a full lineup of events is here.
