Police report that a 25-year-old man was walking and stopped to text a friend near 21st and Shotwell streets at 10:45 p.m. on Tuesday when two men in their thirties came up from behind him and showed him a gun. The men then also punched the victim in the head several times before taking his cell phone and money from his pocket and fleeing on foot. The victim was reported to be in stable condition after being transported to the hospital, and no arrest has been made.

At 3 p.m. on Wednesday, a 24-year-old man was meeting with another, unidentified man at Cumberland and Dolores streets when the unidentified man pulled out a handgun. The suspect then took the victim’s property and fled in a sedan.
