A 34-year-old man was hit in the head with a bottle while riding the bus on Tuesday night, suffering a bloody nose. The man was sitting on a Muni bus near 30th and Mission streets while holding onto his phone when a man between 18 and 20 years old approached him and started talking.

At the same time, another man in his late 20s came up on the victim from behind and struck him in the head with a bottle, taking his cell phone. Both suspects then fled in an unknown direction.

The man did not seek medical treatment, and the police have not made an arrest.

Crime is trauma and the county offers different services. Here is a link to a page of services.

Victims of violent crime can also contact the Trauma Recovery Center at UCSF.
