A 53-year-old man was walking near 24th and Capp streets around 1 a.m. on Thursday when approached by two men armed with a folding pocket knife, police report. The suspects, estimated to be in their 20s or 30s, reportedly pushed the knife against the man’s stomach and demanded that he give up his property. The victim complied, handing over his backpack containing a wallet, some cash, his ID card and a cellphone. The suspects then fled on foot in an unknown direction and have not been apprehended.

Later on Thursday, at 5:25 p.m., a 64-year-old man was robbed of his cash and cell phone while standing at the intersection of 16th and Mission streets. The suspects are described as two men aged 30-40, who pushed the victim to the ground before stealing his belongings and then fleeing on foot.  The victim was not injured in the attack, and police have not reported any arrests.

  1. Why are there never descriptions of the many robberies that have happened? If a 64 year old man was robbed at 5:25 PM wouldn’t there be a description? My hope is that people can see the person since the sun is still out. Any why aren’t there heavy police presence in the 16th are where many robbers come from poor neighborhoods and steal and run off in the bart station or to their getaway driver? If people can catch Pokemon, they can catch these punks. Be observant for the important things.
