A motorcyclist was killed on Friday night after crashing into a minivan near 16th and Harrison streets. At 9:42 p.m., a 52-year-old man was riding his motorcycle westbound on 16th Street when a minivan drivin the opposite direction on 16th Street turned left onto Harrison Street.

The minivan turned in front of the motorcyclist, who crashed into the minivan. The victim was transported to the hospital without a pulse, according to police. The driver of the minivan was not arrested, according to the police report.

Robberies and Assault

On Saturday at 2:11 a.m., a 17-year-old male was walking on Utah Street near 25th Street when he was approached by two men in their mid-20s. The pair came up from behind the victim and told him to give them his money. The pair then stole the victim’s cash and fled on foot eastbound on 25th Street. The police have not made any arrests.

At 11:35 p.m. on Saturday, a 56-year-old man got into an argument with a 62-year-old man near 21st and Shotwell streets when the 62-year-old pulled out a machete and cut the victim in the right hand and face, injuring his eye and nose. The suspect then fled in a two-door black Nissan. The victim was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The police have not made an arrest.

And on Sunday at 11 p.m., a 27-year-old man was approached by a 40-year-old woman near 16th Street and South Van Ness Avenue, who asked him to buy something from the gas station on the corner. The man agreed, but outside the gas station was threatened with an unseen gun by the woman, who demanded he hand over his property. The woman took the man to the back of the gas station and stole his wallet, fleeing on foot in an unknown direction. The police have not made an arrest.

  1. Yeah. That dude on the motorcycle had a name. He was our friend Leon and was a good rider. People in the mission need to learn how to freaking drive. I almost get hit every time im there by retards in vans and scrapers.
