A 14-year-old boy is being sought by police after stabbing and critically injuring a 32-year-old man in the Mission District on Monday afternoon. The victim was sent to San Francisco General Hospital with life-threatening wounds to the chest.

The victim was on Mission Street near 16th Street at 5:33 p.m. when he started fighting with the 14-year-old who stabbed him, the police said. The cause of the fight is unknown.

The police said the victim knew his attacker, but the victim did not cooperate with the police. Pedestrians walking through a parking lot found the victim bleeding out on the ground and called 911. The victim was still in the intensive-care unit on Tuesday morning, according to police. No arrest was made.

Laptop Robbery

Also on Monday, a 24-year-old woman was sitting outside a cafe on Mission Street between 30th and Brook streets near 1:50 p.m. when a man in his 20s walked up to her and grabbed her laptop, yanking her slightly forward because her headphones were plugged into the computer. No arrest was made.
