A man was sent to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries yesterday after being knocked unconscious near 24th and Mission streets. A 61-year-old man reported that a man in his 20s walked up to him at noon on Wednesday and punched him in the face. The victim then fell to the ground and struck his head on the concrete.

The suspect fled in an unknown direction, and the victim was taken to the hospital for being knocked unconscious and to treat a facial injury. The police have not made an arrest.

At 11 p.m. on Wednesday, an 18-year-old man got off the bus near Potrero Avenue and 24th Street and was approached by two men in their early 20s. One of them brandished a gun and demanded he hand over his belongings. The man stole a backpack, cash, and the victim’s cell phone.

The two suspects then fled, but they were found and arrested by police. The victim’s belongings were returned.

And early Thursday morning, a 33-year-old man was asleep in his room on South Van Ness between 22nd and 23rd when he woke up to find his laptop stolen. He saw no suspect, and the police have not made an arrest.
