A fundraiser for the family of police shooting victim Mario Woods will be held at the Elbo Room tomorrow, December 23, featuring stand-up comedians and live hip-hop. All proceeds benefit the family of Woods, who was shot and killed by police on December 2 in the Bayview.

Equipto — the local rapper who called Mayor Ed Lee a “disgrace to Asian people” shortly before the November election — will be hosting the event, which will feature performances by musicians like The Grouch and Mac Mall and comedians like Mike Evans.

The fundraiser will be at the Elbo Room, 647 Valencia St., from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. on Wednesday, though no ticket price is listed. The family is also raising funds through a Go Fund Me that can be found here.

December 23rd in SF at the Elbo Room from 6pm till… We’re having a fundraiser for the family of Mario Woods.. The young man who was murdered by the SFPD on December 2nd.. This is to bring awareness to what’s been going on for too long, to have us artists speak out, use our voice & walk with the people. Artists coming together like The Grouch, Mac Mall, members of Hieroglyphics & more, to rap to the crowd & let them know we need to be involved! We encourage all the people with concern & that want to help change things, to come out & support this event!! Let’s come together & fight for justice!!
