At 9:30 p.m. on Thursday, a 40-year-old man was taking money out of an ATM on Hoff Street between 16th and 17th when he was followed by a 38-year-old man who demanded his cash. The suspect punched the victim in the face and rifled through his pockets, stealing his money and fleeing on foot.

Sometime between 10:30 p.m. and 6:30 a.m. on Wednesday night and early Thursday morning, an unknown suspect entered the apartment of a 63-year-old woman and stole her TV, money, laptop, a gold pen, and a silver ladle while she slept. The break-in occurred on the 300 block of Virginia Avenue in Bernal Heights after the victim left the side door to her house open for her dog to enter the yard during the night. When she awoke Thursday morning and discovered the items had been stolen, she called the police.
