Today’s block: Randall to Kingston, San Jose to Mission with a bit of Brook St.
On this foggy May morning I returned to the previous block I had photographed, Kingston, and started on the other side of the street, which I had ignored last time. From that vantage point I could see the harness shop sign that a Mission Local reader had pointed out to me after my last trip to the street. Then I headed down Mission to the farthest southern point of the Mission Local map, Cape Shell, the tip of the triangle, and looked across the Randall Straits toward Crocker Amazon, the Excelsior, and Mexico (which I couldn’t see–too foggy). I then reversed direction and went north on San Jose past tiny Brook Street before ending back on Kingston. Next stop: the Carnavale parade!
With the light good early on, so much the better to sign on and document your block. Don’t wait! Let us know what day and block you would like at info@missionlocal.com.
You can see a map of all of the blocks here. The blocks in grey are being saved for others who have signed up. Let us save a block for you as well.
