At Caledonia and 16th Street Saturday shortly after 11 p.m., police report that a 45-year-old man was talking with a friend when his conversation was violently interrupted—a stranger came up behind him swinging an ax.
The suspect, described as man between 35 and 40 years-old, dealt a non-life-threatening blow, it grazed the side of the 45-year-old’s ear. Immediately after the attack, the suspect ran off. The victim refused medical attention for his cut to the ear.
No arrests were made.
