And this weekend’s adoption event will be your chance to help rescue and give a loving home to one of these pets. The event is financed and organized by The Maddie’s Pet Adoption Days with the help of more than 200 shelters and rescue groups that will offer free adoptions.

The event will happen in different location throughout California, but for Mission adoption purposes, plan from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Alabama Street, between 15th and 16th streets.
