There’s no doubt that it is going to be rough when the Sea Lions go. I’ve loved them since they first went up and dropped all editorial objectiveness in Feb. 2012 when I saw a few guys starting to paint over them.

“Stop you can’t do that,” I remember saying. The lions stayed.

It was George Lipp who first found ROA painting then in May, 2011.

And now, we only have a few weeks left with them. Visit them often on Bartlett while you still have the chance.

  1. I guess now you can relate to Mission natives who lived or have live here 20+ 40+ years watch their Mission taken away as they know it. One piece of your heart taken away slowly and methodically. Be it people or places or artwork. Enjoy the feeling cuz losing something as recent as those Seals doesn’t hurt much to most longtime mission residents.
