Agribusinesses in the Midwest are not happy with the EPA’s proposal on Friday to reduce the amount of biofuel required to be blended into gasoline, reports Grist.

The new proposal is 14 percent lower than Congress’s goal to expand the Renewable Fuel Standard program set in 2007.

While it’s obvious the oil industry sees the new requirements as favorable, environmentalists do, too.
