Can you believe that Apple has sold 170 million iPads? The company announced its new product lineup Tuesday, which includes an iPad mini with retina display and an iPad Air. The selling points are essentially what you would expect from any piece of new technology: it takes up less space, it runs faster and has improved operating capacity.

In news for foodies, Michelin released its 2014 guide of Bay Area restaurants. The French Laundry and The Restaurant at Meadowood head the pack with three stars. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like any Mission taquerias made the list.

Over in the Mission’s sister neighborhood of Bernal Heights, the parks employee who ran over a woman in Holly Park has been formally charged with manslaughter. Thomas Burnoski has turned himself into authorities to face charges related to the hit and run of Christin Svanemyr, who was relaxing in the park when she was struck. He was initially arrested back in September but had been released on bail.
