It is 7 a.m., 48° and headed to 76° with no chance of rain. Looks like it will be another beautiful day. Details for the next ten days are here.

Get ready for Day 2 of the BART strike. The union submitted an updated plan to management last night in an effort to end the strike, but it was rejected and the standoff continues. We will keep you updated on the negotiations throughout the day.

Want to forget about the BART strike? Clean up the Mission! Mayor Ed Lee, and Supervisors David Campos and Scott Wiener are scheduled to make an appearance at John O’Connell High School on Folsom today to clean up graffiti, pick up litter and do a little gardening. Why would you really want to leave the Mission anyway?

Want to really forget about the BART strike? El Rio is celebrating its 35th birthday party this Saturday and providing its fellow neighbors with free BBQ, half priced drinks and, of course, cake.

But don’t forget about Lit Crawl which will be taking over the Mission at 6 p.m. tonight. Mission Local will have a critical mass of reporters covering the dozens of literary events happening throughout the neighborhood. Check out the full schedule for Lit Crawl here.
