Crime Recap: Stabbing at 16th and Mission

Thursday

A 51-year-old man got into a verbal altercation with two men of about 30 to 40 years old at around 1:40 a.m. on Mission and 16th streets, said police. The victim was stabbed in the neck with a rebar. The suspects got into the vehicle and drove away. No arrests have been made. The victim was taken to San Francisco General Hospital for a life-threatening injury.

    Dude! Rebar is suposed to be the secret way for good people who don’t know how to fight to defend themselves! This is unfair! The punks carry guns and rebar!

    When you stab someone in the neck that = Attempted murder. I am surprised the victim survived, anything in the neck usually = death.

    So much sh$t has been happening on 16th/Mission. What’s up with the police? Two blocks away and yet we continue to read about these events with no arrests being made. Sad.

      The owners of the SROs (and the non-profits that assist them) make heavy campaign contributions to David Campos and the like. As a result, the police are asked to stay away from areas like 16th/Mission and to treat them as “containment zones”.

        Thank you for explaining why Campos can’t even admit the existence of the problems in our neighborhood.
