At 8:44 p.m., police reported, a man punched a 29-year-old woman in the stomach on board a bus at the intersection of 24th and Mission streets. The suspect then snatched the victim’s cellphone from her hand, got off the bus and fled. No arrests were made. The victim decided to seek her own medical attention.
Tuesday
Police reported that at 4:21 p.m., a man approached a 66-year-old woman from behind at 25th and Florida streets and grabbed her necklace. When the victim struggled, the suspect punched her in the face. The suspect fled the scene with the necklace but was captured by police a few blocks away. The woman suffered a swollen lip.

What does gentrification have to do with punching a woman in the face ?
I’m not big on gentrification, but seems a lapse in logic there.
I think it’s a clumsy attempt at sarcasm. SInce you didn’t get it, I would say it was unsuccessful as well.
As the area is slowly but surely improving, unfortunately there is still lowlifes beating up on the residents. Thank you SFPD for getting this trash & taking him off the streets.
