Today Precita Eyes will hold a public ceremony to rededicate the newly restored mural “500 Years of Resistance.” The event will start at 5:30 p.m. at 1200 Florida St.

Bay City News reports that next week BART will be able to ban passengers who have repeatedly harassed or assaulted passengers or station agents. Read more here.

CurbedSF posted about the building at 15th and Mission streets that may open as a renovated apartment complex later this year. Studio unit prices will be $2,675, with one-bedrooms starting at $2,885.

  1. So if some hardworking person making more than minimum wage ($15/hour) working 40 hours per week, 52 weeks a year, putting 100% of his gross income towards this studio apartment….(no eating, taxes, utilities, healthcare or clothing)

    wait for it…..

    He STILL can’t afford it!

    the math….
    $15/hr x 40 hr per week x 52 weeks per year= $31,200 gross income (less than $25k take home).
    $2675 x 12 = $32,100 yearly rent for studio apartment

    But this guy didn’t win the genetic lottery. He didn’t graduate from Stanford. He’s a nobody and deserves to be homeless. Perhaps he can afford a nice cardboard box. Perhaps he will spit in your entrée.
