Police reported that two men walked into a jewelry store on 22nd Street near South Van Ness Avenue around 2:30 p.m. One of the men pulled out a handgun and demanded that the victim hand him all the money. The victim handed over the money and the two suspects fled the scene on foot. No arrests were made. The victim was not injured.

A man was walking home on South Van Ness Avenue near 24th Street at around 6 p.m. when two men jumped him and began beating him, police reported. A third suspect appeared, took the victim’s backpack and fled the scene. The police caught the suspect a few blocks away and took him into custody. The victim lost some money and suffered injuries that were not life-threatening.

  1. Gangs, can use please protect the civilians in your territory? Don’t pick at them. They patronize the shops and bars that you collect your protection money from. Also, please attack the punks that are attacking/robbing your constituents. Thanks!

    1. Gangs don’t seem to have much hold on their territory as they used to! My grandfather was always badgered for money by a gang here in the old valencia gardens. When some punks tried to rob him the gang ran the punks off and returned my grandfathers things.

  2. Campos doesn’t care. He’s out renaming airports instead. I wish more was going on to stop the day-to-day crime around the Mission but it seems most people just don’t care.

  3. If there was a supermarket where the empty Delano’s sits gathering graffiti, these robberies would likely not happen.
