The decision to exclude young, undocumented California residents from federal health care reform has angered some immigrant health advocates. These youth, called Dreamers after the Dream Act legislation that would help them achieve citizenship, were brought into the United States illegally at a very young age. Last June they were granted the right to stay in the country as long as they complete a course of higher education or join the military. Many are now confused by the decision to let them stay but deny them the right to medical care.

The San Francisco Bay Guardian wonders if the Mission can continue to improve its looks without displacing more lower-income families.
