A police officer was injured early Sunday after a car on Mission and 19th streets hit his vehicle. The driver, described as a 22-year-old man, was traveling at a high speed going westbound on 19th Street when he drove into oncoming traffic and made a front-end collision with the police vehicle that was going eastbound on 19th Street.

The suspect was arrested for suspicion of DUI. The incident happened on Sunday shortly before 1 a.m. The officer complained of pain to his neck and was taken to the hospital.
