Woman Robbed of Purse at 15th and Mission

A 64-year-old woman was robbed of her purse at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday at Mission and 15th streets. Two suspects, described as men between the ages of 25 and 30, approached her and tried to grab her purse. When the victim held on to the purse, one of the suspects pointed an object at her and demanded her property.

The victim refused and one suspect pushed her to the ground while the other snatched the purse. Both fled to a dark sedan and drove away.

The victim was injured and taken to the hospital.

Wow, 630 Pm. I can easily assume that tons of people stood around and watched. Its happened to me. On 16th and Mission waiting to cross to head to WalGreens. I get pushed and assaulted for my purse or shopping bag. Everyone stands around like flipping sheep. I didnt loose a think. I keep it all in inside pockets and not in my purse. Purse is kinda like a decoy…so over it!!!

Those perpetrators and their cohorts should be ashamed of themselves for picking on the most vulnerable people on the streets. Criminals should keep with robbing each other and leave the innocent folks alone.
