A 30-year-old man who was stabbed repeatedly in the torso Thursday night on 21st and Capp streets is expected to survive, Officer Gordon Shyy told Mission Local.

The incident occurred at 8:13 p.m. Thursday on 21st Street between Capp and Mission streets. Officers were driving on 21st Street when the victim flagged them down.

Police said the suspects, two men, fled the scene on foot heading westbound on 21st Street. Police closed off the block while searching for the suspects but were unable to find them.

The victim told police that he didn’t know the suspects. When asked if the incident was gang-related, Shyy said that the police department is not able to say at this time.

The victim was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries. His condition was upgraded to non-life-threatening on Friday, Shyy said.

No arrests were made.

  1. It would be nice to at least have a description of the persons involved, including the victim. It looks like there are some serious turf wars going on here amongst hoodlums.

    1. I heard the police scanner report last night. 2 latin males, running west bound on 21st. I forget, but they had clothing and height descriptions as well. I suggest investing in a police scanner, or looking online for a free stream of it.

Strangely enough, I live a few blocks east of where this happened (about 4 blocks), and around that time last night, we could’ve sworn we heard a man call for help, but we weren’t certain which direction it was coming from, or what exactly he was saying. It stopped soon after. Then I heard the police scanner report, then I heard the sirens.
