“Elect to Laugh,” a standup comedy show at The Marsh on Valencia Street, is the brainchild of political comic Will Durst, who will blend monologues and commentary starting at 8 p.m. every Tuesday between now and the first Tuesday in November.

Durst consults the news for his jokes, living by the motto “You can’t make stuff like this up.” The show is constantly evolving along with the presidential political campaigns and debates, and features some new material each week.

Durst has told jokes in over 14 countries and is frequently a guest on NPR, MSNBC and Fox News shows. The five-time Emmy nominee was called “quite possibly the best political satirist working in the country today” by the New York Times.

The last show is on election night, Nov. 6. Buy tickets here.
