In less than two weeks, Mission voters — and their fellow citizens — will take to the polls in what is expected to be a dead-heat presidential race.

As significant, arguably, are the issues that will define American politics and policy over the next four years, from immigration reform and gay rights at the federal level to the death penalty and food labeling here in California.

And now that the debate season has wrapped up — after a feisty finale Monday night — voters must weigh the pros and cons of each measure and decide which candidate will best mirror and implement their views.

Here’s what some Mission voters have to say about the important issues shaping this year’s election, and what they hope to experience in a new presidential cycle.
