Pal’s Take Away may have to leave Tony’s Market, reports Inside Scoop SF.

The popular sandwich shop has been operating out of Tony’s for the last four years, but a new Health Department law requires them to knock down a wall and turn part of the space into a kitchen, according to the article. Pal’s and Tony’s owners would rather not spend the money.

The sandwich shop is hoping to meet with the department and work out a plan. But Pal’s owner Jeff Mason told Inside Scoop:

“I’ve been wanting to open a second location for a while,” Mason says, envisioning a new location where he can expand menu options. “I’m looking forward to a small spot where I can do what I do best.”
