This week, the Mission came awfully close to winning the title of best hipster neighborhood in the country. Forbes Magazine went through 250 of the largest American cities to pick the top hipster hood and ours came in second, losing to – wait for it – Silver Lake, CA.
They calculated this based on data from nextdoor.com, which ranked each city based on walkability, number of coffee shops, food trucks, and farmers markets, among other hipster things.

What are we as a community going to do to remedy the tragedy of non-hipsterest?
Does nextdoor.com factor in to their rankings how much neighborhoods smell like urine and how much feces are on the sidewalk and how likely you are to get stabbed/shot/mugged?
Second place in a real estate investment survey from Forbes? Now the neighborhood is really going to explode.
A woman was run over by a MUNI bus at 20th/South Van Ness yesterday and no mention??????
Seriously…..Mission Local….report the issue of unsafe driving on South Van Ness Ave by MUNI taxis and all others.
