Today is the Mission’s last Sunday Streets of the year. For the fourth time this summer, Valencia Street from 14th to 24th streets and 24th Street from Valencia to Hampshire streets will be closed to cars and opened up to pedestrians, bicyclists, performers and businesses.

See the map (courtesy of Sunday Streets) below for street closures.

See “Related,” above, for a look back at this summer’s Sunday Streets.

If you come out today, look for the Mission Local table outside 780 Cafe at Valencia and 19th streets. Stop by and say hi!

  1. My, oh my, how the business community caterwauled and complained that the sky was going to fall if the streets were closed on Sundays, the same way that the business community promised us that closing Golden Gate Park to cars on Saturday would hasten the end times and like banning plastic bags would leave San Francisco a ghost town with businesses fleeing in droves.

Next time they caterwaul, whine and complain, we know what to do.
