Potential Past

Good morning Mission,

It’s kind of cold this morning, and it won’t get much warmer, with highs today in the low 60s.

The Chronicle came to Buena Vista Horace Mann to document the loss of a mural painted by students. Turns out district workers mistakenly covered it with a coat of yellow primer.

A San Jose resident has launched an online campaign to help the school restore the mural.

Here’s another mural story from ABC News. The reporter talks to artists Mace and Cuba about covering graffiti with art, a concept Mission residents are all too familiar with.

Enjoy your day!

  1. I love the murals in the Mission, both Cuba’s and particularly Precita Eyes. They make it the unique beautiful place it is!
