It is 7 a.m., 52°, and headed toward the mid-60s. There is a 50 percent chance of rain, so make sure you wear non-canvas shoes.

The San Francisco Chronicle went to Irma’s Pampanga Filipino restaurant on 16th and South Van Ness Avenue:

“The Filipino food is $5.50 for one item plus rice, $7.50 for two items and rice and an additional $2 per item for any over two. The selections are hearty, filling and delicious, and the 20 seats are often packed with locals and citywide devotees of Filipino home cooking.”

Police Arrest Potato Peeler Thief

The San Francisco Appeal reports that police have arrested a man accused of using a potato peeler to rob a man in a Mission street bathroom:

“The 55-year-old victim was in the restroom when the suspect entered, took out the potato peeler and put the victim in a headlock, according to police.

“The suspect then stole the victim’s wallet and ran out of the restaurant, but the victim chased after him and tackled him on the sidewalk, police said.”

One bizarre crime.

Stay dry, please.
