The San Francisco Public Press has received a PASS (Prevention for a Safer Society) Award from the National Council of Crime and Delinquency for its piece on “restorative justice” in San Francisco schools.

The story, produced in collaboration with the Center for Public Integrity, details the school district’s restorative justice program, which has reduced the number of suspensions in some city schools.
