Two suspects robbed a man of his smartphone while he was standing outside his residence on Thursday night at around 10 p.m., police said.

The 18-year-old victim was standing near his home at 26th and Harrison streets when a man approached him and choked him from behind. A second man took the victim’s phone before both suspects — described only as males in their 20s — fled on foot.

On the other side of the neighborhood:

A 25-year-old woman was robbed of her purse by a woman twice her age on Thursday night, police said.

The victim was approached by a knife-wielding woman near 17th and Shotwell streets. The suspect cut the strap of the victim’s purse and fled in a ’90s-style two-door gray Honda, according to a police report. Police responded to the robbery call at 10:50 p.m.
