A man in his 60s suffered life-threatening injuries after his car was hit early Saturday morning.

The victim was driving eastbound on 16th Street near Potrero Avenue at around 2 a.m. on Saturday when a cream-colored 1970s Chevrolet El Camino jumped the curb and struck him, police said.

After the accident, the driver of the El Camino fled the scene.

The victim suffered head trauma and was taken to the hospital. He remains in serious condition, according to police.

Sunday

At 7:26 p.m. on Sunday, two teens attacked and tried to rob a 47-year-old man on Capp Street near 22nd.

Police reported that a 17-year-old boy and a 16-year-old girl approached the man, demanded his wallet and then struck him, according to police records.

A bystander called the police. Officers arrived at the scene and arrested the teens.
