A 27-year-old man punched a 59-year-old woman at a laundromat at Mission and 25th streets on Thursday at about 5:40 p.m., according to police.

The victim apparently poured soap into a washer the suspect had been using, police said. The suspect became irate and struck the woman with a closed fist, causing her to lose consciousness and cut her lip.

Police arrested the suspect for aggravated assault.
