A woman was pushed and punched by two suspects who wanted to take her purse on 21st Street shortly after midnight on Sunday, police said.

The incident occurred on the 3100 block of 21st Street, near South Van Ness Avenue, according to the police report.

The suspects, two 20-year old males, approached the victim from behind, grabbed her purse, threw her to the ground and punched her, police said. Unable to take her purse, the suspects fled the scene.

No arrests were made.
