The Mission Police Station has joined the blogging world. The new police captain, Bob Moser, wrote his first blog post today to remind residents about the upcoming meeting Tuesday.

Greetings,
We at Mission Station look forward to hosting our monthly community meeting on Tuesday, January 31 at 6:00 p.m. at Mission Station. We value your input and suggestions and want to address any concerns you may have. This past week, the officers at Mission Station have made several outstanding arrests, including for robbery, burglary, firearm possession, and narcotics. This week, I also had the pleasure of meeting many community members.  Yesterday, Sergeant Limbert and I walked the footbeat in the Castro District where we spoke with many merchants and residents who shared with us their thoughts about issues ranging from community policing to crime prevention. I also rode with the members of our dedicated Gang Unit who specialize in gang enforcement and outreach. Walking the footbeat and riding with the Gang Unit exposed me to some of the unique challenges we face in the Mission District. I plan on walking additional footbeats in other areas of the district in the near future. See you on the 31st.

Sincerely,
Bob Moser
