Captain Greg Corrales at a community meeting

Mission police Capt. Greg Corrales has been reassigned as captain of the San Francisco Airport, Mission Station staff announced this morning.

This will be his last week as captain of the Mission Station. No word yet on who will replace him.

We are told by Mission police staff that it is common for captains to be reshuffled from time to time.

Corrales, who has been with SFPD for more than 40 years, served as Mission captain from 2002 to 2004 and again from 2009 until today.

We will update this story as we get more information.
