A 31-year-old woman was robbed Tuesday night at 9 p.m. near 16th and Alabama streets. The victim was approached by the suspect, described by police as a 30-year-old male. The suspect demanded the victim’s property. When she refused, he sprayed her face with a caustic chemical, stole her wallet, cellphone and money, then fled on foot. The victim was taken to San Francisco General Hospital for treatment of her irritated eyes. Police have not made any arrests.

A 20-year-old man approached a 21-year-old woman Wednesday morning at 1:23 a.m. and pointed a handgun at her head. The woman, standing outside her residence on 23rd Street near Folsom, screamed for help, according to police reports. A neighbor heard her screams and yelled at the suspect out of his window, scaring him. The suspect then jumped into a black SUV. Police located the vehicle and arrested the suspect.
