It’s 7:20 a.m. and 57° F. Expect another windy day in the city and a high of 66° F. Want details? They’re here.

Can you believe it’s December already?

The Rite Spot, the bar on the corner of 17th and South Van Ness, has become the closed spot, at least for now. A health inspector went by there yesterday and shut it down for “serious or repeated violations” pertaining to a “vermin infestation,” according to Uptown Almanac.

Things got out of hand yesterday at Occupy SF when a man accused of choking a dog at the camp was beaten. The Examiner reports:

San Francisco police took the bloody man into custody while waiting for animal control to show up to determine if the injuries to the dog warranted a felony arrest.

Paramedics were called to attend to the man’s injuries, which included bleeding from the left eye.

On Tuesday, protesters decided to decline the city’s offer to move to an empty lot in the Mission.
