It’s 7 a.m., 54° and headed to 73°. It looks pretty good until Thursday, when the temperature dips into the high 50s. Details for the next 10 days are here.

What a glorious Sunday. I wonder how many of you got around to reading the newspapers. Good story in the NY Times on iPhone theft there. Seems like the rise in subway crime and robberies can be attributed largely to cellphone theft.

One warning: Don’t buy the app it mentions. I went to buy it because the article says it caught an iPhone thief by taking a photo of the thief and then sending it to the phone’s owner. But IGotYa’s ratings are close to zero. And other readers bought it and were not happy.

Since I’m reaching to New York for news, there’s a very good piece in New York Magazine by Frank Rich putting the Occupy movement in context. He compares it to the June 1932 Bonus Army — so named “for the modest government bonus they were owed for their service.” They waited while the bankers got paid out. Sound familiar? You can read the whole piece here.

And closer to home, Mission Mission gives us the news that another new bar, Dear Mom, will open soon at 16th and Harrison.

SAVE THE DATE: Mission Loc@l’s third-year anniversary party is December 8. A little late, but when it comes to parties, that’s how things are around here.
