A 25-year-old man was walking across 24th and Capp streets at 10 p.m. on Friday when an unknown assailant approached him from behind and stabbed him in the back, twice. There was no robbery attempt, and the assailant fled on foot. The victim walked to San Francisco General Hospital — a distance of almost a mile — where he was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
A few hours later, at 1:25 a.m. on Saturday morning, three suspects robbed a 40-year-old woman who had given one of them a ride to the Bank of America at 23rd and Mission.
It went like this: The victim waited inside her Mercury while the suspect went to the ATM machine. A few moments later, a man and a woman approached the victim and attacked her, taking her cell phone and cash. The suspect who was at the ATM came back and took the victim’s car keys, which had fallen during the struggle, then drove away in her car. It is not known if the victim knew the suspects.
At 2:30 a.m. on Sunday, a 21-year-old woman was shot in the back while standing on the sidewalk outside a party at 25th and Folsom. Her friends took her to SF General with life-threatening injuries. No description of the suspects is available. Police said there is no indication that the incident was gang-related.
At 4:49 a.m. on Sunday, a 31-year-old man broke into a residence near 18th and Church. He took a laptop and fled. The victim, who was at home at the time of the robbery, was able to alert the authorities, and police apprehended the suspect. The victim recovered his laptop.
