But, is it?
American Indian Gone on 17th and Treat.

This graffiti mural showed up sometime last week on 17th and Treat showing the image of an American Indian and the word GONE in graffiti letters; but it was left unsigned. It sure does look like there is a Banksy in there, or maybe not. If you know who did it, tell us.

  1. I think we need to think of “Banksy” as a corporate brand rather than an individual. Every sighting increases the price of a “Banksy,” real or imagined.

  2. PS Whether or not it’s a “Banksy,” the message “GONE” just reinforces very old stereotypes about a “vanishing race” that never vanished. Even if the message is ironic, it’s still a backward image.
