If you practice unsafe driving habits you may want to avoid the Mission. Among the 10 stations in San Francisco, the Mission Station has written the second-most citations for moving violations, according to Mission Captain Greg Corrales.
The district with the most citations was Ingleside.
Mission Station has also made more DUI arrests than any other stations this year. Since the beginning of June, the station has arrested 2 drivers for driving under the influence.
Saturday’s fatal hit-and-run accident on Mission Street was the first fatal traffic accident in the Mission this year. Up until then, injury accidents in the district were actually down 66% compared to the same period last year.
